Soccer Journalist Somehow OK After Wall Falls On Him On Live TV

Soccer journalist Carlos Orduz said he’s escaped any major injuries after a terrifying incident while broadcasting on ESPN Colombia earlier this week. As Orduz and six others were on live TV, a wall of the set collapsed, falling on Orduz and crushing him into the desk.

Here’s the video, which we show to you because we know Orduz was not badly injured.

Today Was Made For r/Soccer

Thursdays are the quirkiest of footballing days. With the Europa League in action, there’s simultaneously too much for any one person to follow and yet not enough to keep anyone but the most devoted of fans interested. It’s a perfect day for r/Soccer to ensure you’re up to date on all things football, and this Thursday was a doozy. It was a day made for r/Soccer.

Let’s start, as with all things r/Soccer, with something that overpromotes an American, and as usual, that American is Christian Pulisic.

Our Writers Select Their Most Desperate Articles From Quarantine

March 12 marks a full year since soccer in the U.S. — and around the world — shut down over the Covid-19 pandemic. Though we’re not out of the woods yet as we race to vaccinate as many people as possible before new variants threaten to add to the dreadful death toll, it’s a time for reflection on the strange, difficult year that was.

Kiricocho, La Maldición Argentina Que Prendió El Duelo Entre Haaland Y Bono, Arquero Del Sevilla

Montreal To Play 2021 MLS “Home” Games In Florida For The Time Being

With just over a month remaining before the start of the 2021 MLS season, CF Montreal announced Monday it will open its schedule by playing home games at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The move was made because of travel restrictions between the United States and Canada that started at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic last year. Toronto FC already has announced they will open their season with home games at both Orlando and Tampa. The Vancouver Whitecaps are expected to make Sandy, Utah, their temporary home next month.

Flamengo Player Shoves Ever-Living Crap Out Of Teammate For Interrupting His Celebration Dance

You know that feeling as a kid when you’re thoroughly enjoying something and then your little brother comes along and kills the mood? Perhaps you’re telling a great story at the dinner table and then the little rat has to make it about him.

Flamengo striker Rodrigo Muniz had a similar feeling during Saturday’s Campeonato Carioca game against Macaé.

CONMEBOL Postpones March World Cup Qualifiers After European Clubs Refuse To Release Players

ASUNCION — The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) has decided to suspend this month's double header of World Cup qualifiers for Qatar 2022 amid concern over the COVID-19 pandemic and strict quarantine restrictions.

The 10 South American teams were due to play two games on March 25/26 and March 30 but CONMEBOL acknowledged tightening lockdown and quarantine regulations mean many of the European-based players will be unable to travel.

My Local ABC Network Decided To Show Jeff Corwin Instead Of Der Klassiker

I was excited. For the first time ever, ABC was going to broadcast a Bundesliga match, and not even the absence of Gio Reyna could dampen the anticipation for the Bayern Munich-Borussia Dortmund rivalry. Well, maybe an outdoors show could.

As I turned my TV to ABC on Saturday morning, instead of my local Denver7 ABC network showing Der Klassiker, I was subjected to “Ocean Treks With Jeff Corwin.”

I’m Sick Of People Complaining About VAR/Offside Calls, So I’ve Got A Solution: Eliminate The Rule Altogether

It’s rare that a Premier League game has gone by this season where the announcers, players, fans or even the referees themselves haven’t complained about an offside call. With VAR, offside calls are calculated with more precision than ever before, but lovers of the beautiful game still aren’t happy with the offside rule.

I’ve got a solution: get rid of the whole offside rule altogether.

Wait, wait, hear me out.
