Giovanni Reyna. The man.
Borussia Dortmund have played two league games since the Bundesliga restart and Reyna has scored late game-winners in both. On Sunday he scored a rocket of a goal in the 78th minute to seal a 4-3 Dortmund victory.
On Wednesday he was the hero again, but this time snatched the winning goal in the 93rd minute for Dortmund’s 2-1 victory vs. Mainz.

In both games Reyna came on as a second half substitute and made the impact that manager Edin Terzic could only dream of.
Reyna’s winner puts Dortmund fifth in the league and only five behind leaders Bayern.
The 20-year-old must be feeling great after a rollercoaster of emotions and drama over the last two months. At the 2022 World Cup Gregg Berhalter decided Gio would receive a limited role for the USA in Qatar.
In response to Berhalter's decision Reyna's parents did some unthinkably childish BS to show the head coach why it was a bad idea to bench their son.
Gio on the other hand is letting his feet and goals do the talking.
He’s now at four goals on the season and has surely earned himself a start for Dortmund’s next game vs. Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday, Jan. 29.
