Pat McAfee can kick a soccer ball really hard. McAfee is the punter for the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, and he was recently in a video that seemed to depict him kicking a soccer ball 124 miles per hour (McAfee played soccer at the University of West Virginia).

ESPN said that shot was near the fastest ever recorded, and they were right. But it wasn't the fastest.
The fastest shot ever, that we could find, is this free kick from former Sporting Lisbon defender Ronny, which allegedly traveled 131 miles per hour, or 221 kilometers. Let's just say we are glad we were not in the wall when he lined up to take that particular shot.
