Tigres defeated Chivas 1-0 Sunday in a battle between last season's Clausura and Apertura winners to become Campeon De Campeones, but Chivas goalkeeper Rodolfo Cota didn't make it easy. The 30-year-old, facing a breakaway from star Tigres striker Andre-Pierre Gignac, resorted to gamesmanship. And it worked.

I don't know if Cota's trick actually affected Gignac or if it was just a poor shot, but either way, Cota kept the ball out of the net, and that's his job.
Gignac got his revenge on Cota in the second half by assisting Eduardo Vargas' winner. And you can bet next time Gignac is facing down a goalkeeper who raises his hand for offside, he will not take any chances with his shot.
