Liga MX has this charming habit of not telling folks what time their Liguilla matches are going to take place until just a few days beforehand. One of the things we like most about Liga MX is reveling in its chaos, so we can't complain too much. Good news: the 2017 Liga MX Apertura finals schedule has been finalized and updated.
2017 Liga MX Apertura Finals Schedule
The first leg will be played on Thursday, December 7, at 9:00 p.m. EST. The second leg will be played on Sunday, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. EST. Both legs will be broadcast on Univision Deportes, FuboTV and Sling TV.
The finals will pit the two Monterrey teams, C.F. Monterrey and Tigres UANL, against each other. The two are inarguably the best in Liga MX, and the finals promise to be fun. Monterrey finished in first place in the Apertura with 37 points and a goal differential of +17. Tigres finished second with 32 points and a goal differential of + 12. Monterrey starts 18-year-old American Jonathan Gonzalez, who has not received a senior call-up for the United States yet, in central midfield.
Monterrey will be favorites heading into Thusday, but anything can happen in the Clasico Regio.
