USMNT And Club America Midfielder Joe Corona Obliterates A Half-Volley In CCL Action

Hey, this all turned out well for American soccer. Thanks to FC Dallas’ shitshow performance against Tauro FC, the MLS side got to avoid getting spanked by Club America in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals, and look who’s now doing the spanking — it’s Angeleno Joe Corona! 

The two-time CONCACAF Gold Cup champion with the USMNT gave America an early lead over Panama’s Tauro FC with this weltering half-volley from just outside the box. The strike was pure, undeflected and f*cking awesome. This is after-hours on The18.com, so forgive our edgy descriptors.  

That is such a crack. Just look at Miguel Herrera’s joy here.
