A vintage N'Golo Kante tackle prevented the world's most feared counterattack from delivering. Liverpool's triumverate of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino has been devastating on the counter all season, and it looked as if they would break through first on Sunday with Sadio Mane charging at a retreating Gary Cahill.
Then N'Golo Kante tracked back and snuffed out the attack.

After leading Leicester City and Chelsea to Premier League titles in consecutive seasons, Kante is now fighting to keep Chelsea in the mix for a top four finish. His thirty yard run and subsequent tackle kept the game scoreless, and the momentum shifted shortly thereafter.
Olivier Giroud capped a nice string of Chelsea possession by flicking a header to the far post from a Victor Moses cross in the 32nd minute.
In the first half of Chelsea's must win match against Liverpool, the Blues' best players are doing what they do best.
Although Liverpool have had an excellent Champions League run, they still have work to do to finish in the top four. Chelsea has put pressure on both Liverpool and Tottenham with four consecutive league wins. It's possible that both clubs will need three points from their final games to finish in the top four.
Liverpool finish the season at home against Brighton. The Spurs need four points from their final two matches against Newcastle and Leicester to secure a top four finish.
