It’s official. Sunderland will win the Premier League in 2021 after back-to-back promotions to return to the league. Why? The signing of one Max Power.
Is there a better name in the English language than Max Power? According to Homer Simpson, no.
The Max Power Sunderland transfer will begin as a loan from Wigan until January, with the move becoming permanent thereafter.
AT LAST!

Sunderland needs all the reinforcements it can get after back-to-back last-place finishes and accompanying relegations. Max Power will join a midfield with 22-year-old American Lynden Gooch, who scored a late winner in the Black Cats’ season-opener last week.
We cannot wait to see the Power-Gooch pairing in midfield.
Power, Sunderland's 12th signing of the summer, made 140 appearances in three years with Wigan. The 25-year-old also appeared more than 100 times for Tranmere Rovers, a club he joined at the age of 8.
As Homer confirms, Max Power is a potent name, beating out IndyCar star Will Power as the best name in sports that isn’t a reference to farts.
One can only hope Power-Gooch propels Sunderland back into relevance in English football after fans literally shat in the Stadium of Light seats last season.
