Grading transfer window performances is a stupid endeavor. No one can say for sure whether a club has performed well or poorly because the players haven't even taken the pitch yet for their new clubs.
But news outlets do this anyway because they can't think of any better use of time, and the grades get clicks, and clicks get money.
Undoubtedly media organizations are already in the throes of typing out their grades for this January transfer window, even though it hasn't even ended yet.
This is a stupid thing to do, because nobody knows which players will be good and which will be bad. Except for me. Here are my transfer deadline day grades.
Inflatable Banana Man: A+
Inflatable banana man is everything you want in a video-bomber: the style, the flare, the way the yellow banana stands out against the background, the way he makes a professional journalist (journalists, by nature of the job, are fairly level-headed people normally) so angry that he commits an actual act of violence (albeit with an inflatable banana) against inflatable banana man while on live television.
Journalist Guy: A+
This man kept his cool for a remarkably long time, and when he finally lost it he lost it with gusto. Ain't no half-steppin on deadline day. Inflatable banana man gave 110 percent and journalist guy obligingly gave 110 percent right back. He's well positioned to make a run during the second half of the season, or whatever.
Guess this is why Sky Sports don't send their presenters out on deadline day anymore...https://t.co/Iue9k00T5D

And that's it. What a whirlwind day. I need a nap.
DID YOUR TEAM MAKE THE GRADE? MAYBE, MAYBE NOT TUNE IN A YEAR FROM NOW AND MAYBE WE'LL HAVE AN ANSWER THAT'S WORTH A SH*T.
Update: it was a joke. Still better than anything else on deadline day.
So we've got a little announcement to make...#BananaGatehttps://t.co/uLKzzSbMxQ
