Cuauhtemoc Blanco is one of the best players in the history of both Club America and the Mexico national team. Blanco, who retired last year to run for mayor in his adopted hometown of Cuernavaca, Mexico (he won), put on the yellow Club America jersey one last time, appearing before the Club America faithful in Estadio Azteca wearing the number 100.
You could tell how much this meant to Blanco, the fans and his teammates, who relentlessly tried to give Blanco the ball in scoring position and send El Temo off in style. It almost worked. Almost.

Sadly, the soccer gods prevented us from experiencing one of the greatest moments in Club America history. Noe, Blanco rides off into the sunset to fulfill his mayoral obligations in Cuernavaca. We'll miss him.
