It’s crazy to think it has been two years now since MLS was graced with the first taste of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. March 31, 2018, was a day the LA Galaxy and the league may never forget with a classic El Trafico and the beginning of Ibrahimović’s short reign in MLS.
Prior to the introduction of Ibrahimovic, it was the Carlos Vela and LAFC show. Early in the first half, two goals in the span of nearly 20 minutes from the Mexican star had the Galaxy on the ropes. His first goal was an absolute beauty.
A third goal from LAFC at the start of the second half made it seem like the first-ever chapter of El Trafico was going to be a blowout.
Then goals from Sebastian Lletget and Chris Pontius in the 61st and 73rd minutes brought the Galaxy within one and set the stage for Ibrahimovic.
The rest is history.

It is doubtful MLS will ever see another debut as electric and astounding as when the big Swede graced the pitch.
MLS will be showing a full replay of the match on YouTube at 4 p.m. EST.
If you would prefer to only see the goals instead, the full highlights can be found here.
