Tottenham Hotspur held Bayern Leverkusen 0-0 in Tuesday night's Champions League encounter in Germany on the back of some ridiculous heroics from Hugo Lloris in net.
The first half saw Hotspur attempt to take the game to Leverkusen, but the German club defended resolutely. Vincent Janssen hit the post for the visitors and Christian Eriksen's follow-up attempt brought a great save out of Bernd Leno.
The second half was all Leverkusen. They totaled 16 shots on the night, including six on target, compared to Tottenham's six with only one on target. The best chance of the night fell to Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, and you'd have expected the Mexican international to bury his tap-in.
However, Chicharito's attempt was slightly scuffed back towards Lloris, giving the goalkeeper the smallest of odds at saving it.
Woah! Chicharito thought he had the opener for Leverkusen, but the goal line official and GLT say no goal! #UCLonFOX https://t.co/cYk7OXFOtZ

No 10pts for all you Chicharito owners https://t.co/yyNJiB0xQf

It was the one place Lloris could've actually gotten to it, so Chicharito will undoubtedly be displeased with the effort. However, take nothing away from Lloris for clawing it out and refusing to allow the ball to cross the line.
After Monaco's draw with Moscow in the other Group E match, it's still all to play for going into the final three games. Monaco sit atop the group with five points, Tottenham are in second with four, Leverkusen have three and Moscow are at the bottom with two. The next round of matches are on November 2nd.
