Michael Ohana is a 21-year-old forward who’s played in the Israeli Premier League since he was a teenager. He’s gone on trial with Liverpool and recently transferred from F.C. Ashdod to Hapoel Be’er Sheva, one of the bigger clubs in Israel.
He’s an incredibly promising talent who’s represented the Israeli national team up to the U-21 level. Over the weekend, Hapoel defeated Maccabi Petach-Tikva 5-0, and Ohana scored a worldy.
Receiving a driven 15-yard pass from a teammate, Ohana’s first touch is a deft flick with the outside of his right boot. The flick sends the ball over his marker, and Ohana spins beyond the defender to collect.
The height of the ball makes it incredibly difficult for the goalkeeper to decide whether to come out or stay on his line. He elects to rush out, only for Ohana to cleverly head the ball beyond his reach and looping into the net.
This might just be the best goal we've seen in October.
