The phrase ’90 minutes, 90 emotions’ is one that sums up the beautiful game for me. You high-five strangers next to you when your team scores, you yell at some of the best athletes in the world from the stands if they made a poor pass, and best of all, you feel a sense of belonging and pride to something bigger than yourself. The passion, pride, and loyalty that the fans have is something that you don't get in any other sport in the world.
Writing for The18 allows me to express these emotions through covering the good, bad and even the ugly moments. It's a beautiful thing to be able to write about something you care probably too much about, and I'm glad I get to do that here at The18.
