The jokes about Gareth Bale playing more golf than soccer during his time at Real Madrid are no laughing matter anymore. Bale retired from professional ball after the World Cup and is now looking to dominate the golf course.
On Thursday Bale was competing in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in California where he hit an incredible trick shot to get on the green.

If you’re like me and don’t know anything about golf, then you probably don’t know what the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is. The tournament, which is held annually, sees 156 professionals and 156 amateurs put into pairs (one pro, one amateur). Bale was partnered with Joseph Bramlett.
The Welshman is definitely capable of pulling his own weight on the golf course as he plays off a handicap of two.
Pro Spanish golfer Jon Rahm praised Bale’s abilities on the golf course last week.
“I told Gareth, you can’t be so good at professional football and golf at the same time, it just doesn’t seem fair,” Rahm said.
Bale wasn't the only celebrity competing as a litany of stars lined Pebble Beach.
Bill Murray, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Larry Fitzgerald, Pau Gasol, ScHoolboy Q, Macklemore, Michael Peña and Illenium are just a few of the celebrities taking part in the event.
