Hector Moreno Showed His Set Piece Aerial Ability This Weekend

Mexico international Hector Moreno has made just two league appearances for Real Sociedad since moving there from Roma in the January transfer window, but the center back is already making a difference. Moreno netted Real Sociedad's opener against Alaves off a corner kick in the sixth minute Sunday. Real Sociedad would score again in the 11th minute and go on to win 2-1.

The Mexico Adidas 2018 FIFA World Cup Away Jersey Has Been Leaked

The latest images of Mexico’s Adidas away jersey for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia have surfaced, and it looks as though El Tri will be fittingly representing their nickname when wearing their away strips.

The design features a bold horizontal chest stripe showcasing the flag of Mexico tricolors of green, white and red, as well as green Adidas stripes on the shoulders. The back of the shirt collar, like the home design, features a “soy méxico” message.

Raul Ruidiaz Hits A Game-Winning, 15-Yard Scissor Kick In Liga MX Play

The legend of Monarcas Morelia’s Raul Ruidiaz continues to grow after the Peruvian international scored his second Liga MX golazo in the space of a week last night. Morelia defeated bottom-of-the-table Atlas 2-1 on Friday with Ruidiaz scoring the game-winner in the 45th minute.

Rodrigo Millar had given Morelia the early lead, but Atlas responded from the spot through Daniel Arreola. However, on the stroke of halftime, a spectacular 15-yard scissor kick from Ruidiaz restored Morelia’s advantage.

Clint Dempsey And Nicolas Lodeiro Could Be The Death Of Chivas

We now know the entire field for the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals, and after confirming a matchup between MLS best Toronto FC and Liga MX champions Tigres, we now have confirmation of another tasty encounter between the leagues — MLS runners-up the Seattle Sounders and 2017 Clausura champions (but now tanking) Guadalajara.

No Lie, Tigres vs. Toronto FC Will Be The Greatest CCL Quarterfinal Ever

Over the course of the last few years, Tigres UANL have established themselves as Liga MX’s premier side. While they’ve captured three-straight Apertura titles, they’ve also suffered the heartbreak of back-to-back defeats in CONCACAF Champions League finals, losing to America in 2016 and Pachuca in 2017. They’ll be desperate to represent the region at the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup in the UAE.

These Two Liga MX Screamers Will Blow Your Mind

There are goals and then there are GOLAZOS.

Solo goals, scissor kicks, team goals, you name it. There are innumerable ways to score. Pragmatists will say it doesn't matter how stunning or beautiful a goal is, even own goals count the same as the jewels only Messi could craft.

And yet, there is a certain violent charm to bangers.

With Golazos Like This, It’s Easy To See Why Monterrey Are Leading Liga MX Femenil

Seven matches into the 14-game Liga MX Femenil Clausura season, Monterrey find themselves top of the table and in good position to qualify for the playoffs after rolling off their fifth straight win on Monday, a 2-0 away victory over Tigres.

The opening goal was scored by Daniela Lizbeth Solís in the 9th minute, and Valeria Valdez added the second in the 41st with this sweetly struck effort from 25 yards out.

Valdez is a 24-year-old native of Baja California, and the defender scored the goal of match week seven with this effort.

Did Hirving Lozano Deserve His Sending Off Against Heerenveen?

Hirving "Chucky" Lozano is having quite the first season in the Eredivisie. The 22-year-old Mexico international leads the Dutch league with 13 goals and is tied for seventh with seven assists. He also, curiously, is tied for first in red cards, with two. Also curiously, both of his red cards have come against the same club, Heerenveen. Maybe he doesn't like their uniforms.

Sebastian Giovinco Hits Nasty Free Kick In Friendly Against Cruz Azul

Just days after taking apart some very complicated Club America free kick defense tactics, Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco was at it again against Cruz Azul. The Atomic Ant blasted in his second free kick of Toronto's pre-season tour of Mexico, and this one may have even been better than the first.

Hector Herrera Drops A Filthy Dime, Like Sitting In Your Car Cup Holder For Years Filthy

Hector Herrera went the full 90 in Porto’s comprehensive 4-0 away victory over sixth-place Chaves on Sunday, registering an assist on the final goal scored by Sergio Oliveira.

It was Herrera’s third assist of the campaign for the league leaders, who’ve opened up a two-point gap on both Benfica and Sporting while maintaining a game in hand.

While things are going well for the 27-year-old midfielder and his club in Portugal’s Primeira Liga, they now must prepare to host English power Liverpool in Champions League Round of 16 action on Wednesday.
