Messi Proved The Hype Was Real When He Scored A Hat Trick Against Real Madrid At 19

The passing of the guard is a rare thing to appreciate as it happens. Sure, people love to say, “we are watching a passing of the guard,” but even if they are correct, it still takes months, sometimes years to complete. What we see from a 19-year-old Messi in this next video is a performance that happened in the middle of such a passing: the transition of Barcelona from Ronaldinho’s team to Messi’s team. In it we watch Messi score a hat-trick against Real Madrid at the age of 19, a performance that showed the world that the hype was real.

Alex Morgan Scores Neymar - esque Goal Against Germany

The inaugural SheBelieves Cup final that featured the USWNT and Germany's women's national team lived up to the hype. With other powerhouse national teams like France and England, the SheBelieves Cup was a great success for all. Last night, Alex Morgan scored a goal very similar to one of the Neymar's best goals in recent years. Morgan took a bouncing long ball, flicked it over a defender and calmly volleyed it into net in front of a charging German keeper. The 34th minute equalizer was a thing of beauty and the USWNT would go on to win 2 - 1.

England's League 2 Just Produced The Goal Of The Season

Portsmouth F.C.’s Michael Doyle allowed beleaguered supporters of the club to maintain their belief that they’ll begin their slow ascent back up the English league system after his wonder strike secured a 3-1 victory over Accrington Stanley.

Portsmouth are two-time FA Cup winners, their most recent success coming in 2008, but have suffered three relegations since their 2009/10 Premier League season. Mired in League 2 following severe debt and multiple bouts with the administration, things are finally looking up for the largest fan-owned football club in England.

Michael Doyle Scores Amazing Volley Against Accrington Stanley

With Portsmouth already holding a 2 - 0 lead, Michael Doyle put the cherry on top with an incredible volley. Battling against Accrington Stanley, the former Leeds and Sheffield United midfielder latched on to a cleared set piece and hammered it home from 35 yards out. The 43rd minute goal put Portsmouth up 3 - 0 going into halftime and would go on to win 3 - 1.

He Faced Three Shots From 5 Feet Away. His Superhuman Saves Stopped Them All

Let’s just get something straight, the goalkeeper you are about to watch had no right to save any of these shots. If the strikers he was facing had put the ball anywhere pretty much anywhere except where they put them, they would have scored. But they didn’t, and now I can calmly say that the world just might be a better place for it. Close range tap in goals are a dime a dozen, but three superhuman saves in a row? That’s something worth writing about.

Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Swerving Strike from 30 Yards Out

Cristiano Ronaldo broke a few records today and Spanish giants, Los Blancos crushed Celta de Vigo 7 - 1. With Real Madrid's hopes at a La Liga title quickly dwindling, Madrid fans were getting restless and booing the sloppy play of Ronaldo in the first half. When the 2nd half started, Ronaldo was a new man and scored 4 goals in 26 minutes. His second one was an absolute screamer from 30 yards out. Ronaldo moved into 2nd in the all time scoring chart for La Liga and also became the fastest player in Europe to score 350 goals for one club.

Aaron Ramsey's Backheel Goal Gives Arsenal the Lead

Aaron Ramsey featured in our "Top18 Boots You Can Buy Today" showed off again why he deserves to be highlighted for his great goals. In a match between two world reknown clubs, Ramsey opened the scoring with a nifty backheel. With instinct alone, he guided his teammate's cross into the back of the net. Arsenal would draw Tottenham 2-2, which featured another incredible goal from Harry Kane.

Harry Kane Scores From Impossible Angle

Harry Kane caught everyone off guard today with a wonderful goal from a near impossible angle. Hard work paid off for Tottenham as a battle in the corner allowed them to keep the play alive. When the ball emerged from the corner, Kane gathered it, took two dribbles towards the center of the pitch and with no one stepping to mark him, fired a powerful shot that beat Arsenal keeper, Petr Cech. Kane's goal in the 61st minute gave Tottenham the lead, only for them to lose it and draw 2-2 with Arsenal.

Messi Hat Trick Provides Comfortable Win for Barcelona

Every Barcelona goal is beautiful. The team effort and crisp passing allowed for the La Liga leading giants to easily defeat Rayo Vallecano. Of the 5 goals scored, Lionel Messi's hat trick proved to the highlight in a lop sided match. Rayo Vallecano finished the game with 9 men as Diego Llorente and Manuel Iturra were given straight red cards in the 42nd and 67th minute, respectively. Messi's hat trick in the run of play was a tribute to Barcelona's possession dominance and his intelligence to be in the right place at the right time.
