Borussia Moenchengladbach's players and coaching staff became the first in Germany to accept pay cuts during the coronavirus crisis to support the club as revenues dry up due to halted matches, sports director Max Eberl said on Thursday. 

The Bundesliga suspension is due to last until at least April 2 though few believe it will resume soon after that date. All continental competitions have also been suspended with the virus's current epicenter in Europe. Germany has recorded about 11,000 cases with 20 deaths. 

The coronavirus pandemic has brought a halt to football around the globe, but it’s also deprived us of one of the most fascinating developments slated for March — Youssoufa Moukoko’s debut for Germany’s U-19 team and his transition into training with Borussia Dortmund’s senior side.

Tyler Adams hasn’t had the best of starts to the 2019-20 campaign in Germany. The American, who turned 21 last month, has been in and out (mostly out) of the RB Leipzig lineup all season with various injuries.

But on Tuesday, Adams did something just nine Americans have ever done before: He appeared in a Champions League knockout-round match.

Even better, he did so in a convincing victory, as his RB Leipzig dusted Tottenham 3-0 on Tuesday and 4-0 on aggregate. And because we’re biased Americans, we’re going to give Adams credit for an assist on Leipzig’s third goal.

Following today’s 2-0 victory over Augsburg, Bayern Munich maintained its four-point advantage at the top of the Bundesliga while celebrating the club’s 120th birthday in fine style (hence the special edition kits).

The last time a Werder Bremen scored in the Bundesliga was nearly three months ago in a 6-1 defeat to Bayern Munich. Leave it to an American to break the epic goal drought.

Josh Sargent scored two minutes into Werder’s match with Hertha Berlin on Saturday, a lovely left-footed blast from the edge of the area.

It was a weekend the Bundesliga would like to forget. Multiple banners from supporters caused games to stop, and now a group of Japanese fans is being issued an apology after security removed them from RB Leipzig's stadium over fears of coronavirus.

One of the Japanese fans who was removed tweeted about the events that took place. The tweet has since been deleted but read:

American Pellegrino Matarazzo has enjoyed an excellent start to his career as a head coach, taking 13 points from a possible 15 while taking VfB Stuttgart up to second place in the table.

Matarazzo, appointed in December to take over for Tim Walter, got off to a winning start with the Swabians as his side rolled over FC Heidenheim, 3-0. VfB has gone from strength to strength since then, winning three of the next four in the 2. Bundesliga. Matarazzo's only loss at the helm so far came in the narrow 2-1 defeat to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal.
