Mauricio Pochettino handed task of reviving Chelsea's fortunes

LONDON - Chelsea appointed Mauricio Pochettino as head coach on Monday, tasking the former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris St Germain manager with reviving their fortunes after a dismal season.

Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League on Sunday following a chaotic campaign during which Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard had spells in charge of the London club.

Guro Reiten and Sam Kerr pull the strings in Chelsea’s final game to claim FA WSL title

READING — In a squad bristling with internationals, Norway's Guro Reiten stood out as Chelsea secured their fourth Women's Super League title in four years on Saturday, continuing a superb run of six league titles on the trot for the diminutive Norwegian winger.

The 28-year-old was top scorer in the Norweigan Toppserien as her LSK side won the title in 2017 and 2018, and she has won the WSL title every year since joining Chelsea in 2019.

Christian Pulisic might have a WWE backup career after a great body slam on David de Gea

Christian Pulisic got his first meaningful minutes in the Premier League since April 15 on Thursday during Chelsea’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester United. Other than Pulisic falling on David de Gea there wasn’t too much to report from the American.

Pulisic was brought on as a substitute in the 64th minute for noted Instagram bully and expert at missing chances Mykhailo Mudryk.

Revisiting The18’s awful Premier League 2022-23 predictions — wow how wrong we were

In July 2022 the great minds working at The18 put their heads together and tried to predict how the 2022-23 Premier League season would unfold. Looking back at our EPL predictions 10 months later we got a couple things right and several things very, very wrong.

Our predictions came out in two separate parts. The first prediction article had each of our individual picks for topics like the Golden Boot race, best American, teams relegated and more.

After laughing at some poor guy in the gym, Mudryk is quickly served poetic justice

On the one hand, Mykhaylo Mudryk deserves sympathy. The 22-year-old has only played 15 Premier League games (for a completely dysfunctional team) and deserves much more patience (which he'll get because he cost $107 million) despite failing to score a goal for Chelsea.

On the other hand, Mudryk deserves zero sympathy — at least for one day — after committing the cardinal sin of gym-goers everywhere: mocking someone for trying to make themselves better, indiscreetly filming them and posting it online to millions of eye balls.

Catarina Macario set to sign with FA WSL giants Chelsea

USWNT midfielder Catarina Macario is set to sign with FA Women’s Super League side Chelsea this summer per The Athletic. Her contract with Lyon expires at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old standout missed all the 2022-23 season with an ACL injury to her left knee that she suffered in June 2022 during Lyon's final league game of the season. She’s nearing a return to action and will be hoping to recover in time for a shot to make USWNT head coach Vlatko Andonovski’s 2023 Women’s World Cup roster.
