United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May announced a sort of England World Cup boycott on Wednesday, confirming no British royal family or government ministers will be in Russia for the 2018 World Cup this summer. 

The partial England World Cup boycott comes after the attempted murder of former spy Sergei Skripal, who was poisoned recently in England. British authorities have said the attack was “highly likely” to have been committed by Russia. U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, before Donald Trump fired him via tweet, concurred. 

Some American Spurs fans reportedly received a club survey that included a question that should never have even been thought of, much less included in an actual Tottenham Hotspur survey.

Consider it karma for Jose Mourinho. The Special One used boring tactics to beat Liverpool on Saturday and tried similarly cynical tactics on Tuesday for Manchester United vs Sevilla. This time, the result was a stunning 2-1 defeat, the Red Devils going out in the Champions League Round of 16. 

The scenes at London Stadium during Burnley's 3-0 win over West Ham on Saturday quickly devolved into ugliness, with West Ham ultras fighting in the stands and occasionally running on the field and fighting there.

There was, however, a silver lining of sorts. When West Ham fans were punching each other in the stands, some Burnley subsitutes gave up their seats on the bench to a group of children to shelter them from the violence.

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United rarely had the ball and rarely attacked. The Red Devils gave up an own goal that looked impossible to score. And yet the Manchester United vs Liverpool match never seemed in doubt for the home side at Old Trafford, with a Marcus Rashford brace powering a 2-1 victory on Saturday.

Liverpool dominated in all the stats that don’t matter: possession (68-32 percent), shots (14-5) and corner kicks (13-1). But a couple of unimaginative, Route 1 attacks in the opening half hour were all Manchester United needed to secure victory.

Crystal Palace vs. Manchester United was a riveting EPL match.

We can even say it clearly exemplified why we love the Premier League so much. There were exhilarating goals, lots of drama and an epic Manchester United comeback thanks to a Nemanja Matic goal.

Ahead of Sunday's matchup between Chelsea and Manchester City, Eden Hazard discussed his friendship with Kevin De Bruyne and revealed why he thinks De Bruyne is best in the Premier League today.

"Kevin has got everything," Hazard said in an interview with Sky Sports. "He defends, crosses the ball, assists and scores goals in big games. For me, he is the best this season."
