MADRID — Real Madrid fought back to earn a 4-1 home win against Real Sociedad that extended their lead at the top of LaLiga to eight points ahead of second-placed Sevilla on Saturday.

Real dominated the game but they fell behind after 10 minutes to a penalty converted by Mikel Oyarzabal.

Teenager Eduardo Camavinga came to the rescue five minutes before halftime, rifling home the equaliser from 25 meters with an unstoppable left-footer that went in off the post.

Christian Pulisic had a beautiful assist and a goal against Burnley on Saturday during Chelsea’s comfortable 4-0 victory. The Blues had a muted first half that ended goalless, however a flash flood of three Chelsea goals in seven minutes at the start of the second half saw the game slip away from Burnley. Eighteen-year-old Moustapha Cissé scored his first two Atalanta goals with the composure of a veteran striker.

The first came from a looping through ball, which Cissé took one touch to control before providing a steady low finish inside the far post. The second came on a well-placed, one-touch shot after some strong interplay with a teammate on the edge of the penalty area.

Real Betis' magical season had its finest moment yet Thursday as the club saw off Rayo Vallecano 1-1 at the Benito Villamarín to win its Copa del Rey semifinal 3-2 on aggregate, setting up a final against Valencia on April 23.

Rayo, which has never advanced to a Copa final in its history, struggled to create any chances of note at the Benito Villamarín as we approached the final 10 minutes of the match. It looked like the decisive goal would ultimately be the 68th-minute winner William Carvalho scored in the first leg back on Feb. 9 in Madrid.

Juventus escaped with a 1-0 win over Fiorentina in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals on Wednesday. Dušan Vlahović, who joined the Bianconeri from Fiorentina for up to $90 million in January, played the full 90, but it was one of his (former) teammates who scored the late winner.

Chelsea defeated Championship side Luton Town in the FA Cup fifth round 3-2 on Wednesday. The Blues had quite an interesting four-hour span as the players saw Roman Abramovich announce plans to sell the club, Luton Town give Chelsea a real scare and Mason Mount kick the ball on a roof.
