Jerseys/Kits

First details of the USWNT's 2023 World Cup kit are revealed

Please don't shoot the messenger. After not getting the feedback they were looking for from the USMNT kit that drew its inspiration from basketball, American football and hockey before revealing itself as Frankenstein's monster, Nike and U.S. Soccer are back at it again with a jersey for the USWNT ahead of this summer's World Cup.

Napoli debut lip print jersey for Valentine's Day – players waste chance for legendary celly

It's increasingly common to see soccer players with a female lip print tattoo on their neck. Yeah, it isn't good. But now there's something even worse than that: Here's the new kissy-kissy Napoli jersey for Valentine's Day.

Geeze, what an awful piece of fabric.

adidas X Jamaica partnership quickly leads to the most anticipated jersey of 2023

Maybe you missed it since the news appeared on New Year's Day, but the Jamaica Football Federation recently announced a partnership with adidas to "not only celebrate Jamaican football but also Jamaican style and culture."

We're expecting jersey, training wear and lifestyle clothing drops soon with the new kits reportedly coming by the end of January. It's a busy summer for Jamaica with the Reggae Girlz competing in their second straight FIFA Women's World Cup and the Reggae Boyz attempting to claim the Concacaf Gold Cup for the first time.

USWNT star forward Mallory Pugh will be changing the last name on the back of her jersey

The United States women’s national team is preparing for two January friendlies in New Zealand against the Football Ferns. USWNT head coach Vlatko Andonovski released the 24-player roster for the friendlies on Thursday and some fans were surprised to not see star player Mallory Pugh on the list.

What those fans didn’t realize was that a Mal Pugh name change had taken place since the last time the U.S. played. In December the Chicago Red Stars forward married Chicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson.

Everything we know about the 2023 MLS jerseys so far

Beginning with opening weekend on Saturday, Feb. 25, the 2023 MLS season is suddenly less than two months away and preseason is right around the corner. We've already had key offseason events like St. Louis City's Expansion Draft and the SuperDraft, but what truly gets the pulse racing is the annual reveal of the latest 2023 MLS jerseys.

As is tradition, every club retains the kit it debuted in 2022 but the 2021 releases are replaced, so each team either gets a new home or away shirt in 2023. Here's everything we know so far about the new threads.

World's worst national team aims to inspire by giving every San Marino newborn a jersey

When we cover the San Marino national team here at The18, it's usually to report on players breaking down in tears after securing 0-0 draws with Gibraltar.

The squad has attracted a global following by virtue of being the worst international team on the planet — San Marino sits dead last (211th) in the FIFA Rankings with an all time record of 194 matches played, one win, eight draws and 185 defeats with a goal difference of negative 770.

I see people hating them, but these 6 new Liga MX jerseys are works of art

Liga MX Clausura 2023 starts in less than a month and some teams are already presenting their jerseys for the tournament. Among those clubs are the current champion Pachuca, as well as Atlas, León, Querétaro, Santos Laguna and Xolos.

All six are sponsored by the Mexican company Charly Futbol which decided to present a unified collection inspired by the traditional nahual and tonas figures created by Oaxacan artisans from the well-known Jacobo and María Ángeles workshop.

From Canada to the top: Here is our World Cup jersey ranking

With all the World Cup jerseys finally out in the wild, it's time to create a ranking with the best and worst-dressed teams in the tournament.

In general terms, there is consensus on naming adidas as the brand with the best designs for the event, while Nike and Puma didn't seem to have tuned in with the fans' wishes.

I'll be honest, some collections have grown on me since their launching – France and England, to name two – but others are not moving the needle.

Sorry, USMNT.
