Relegation will be scrapped this term as a result of the decision, which must be ratified by the RFEF executive committee on Friday, the governing body added in a statement on Wednesday.

Courtois Argues Points Don't Matter, Barcelona Doesn't Deserve Title

LaLiga has a tough decision to make if football can’t resume in Spain to finish the remainder of the current season. In France, Ligue 1 and 2 decided to end the season and award PSG the title. Awarding PSG the title wasn’t too controversial as the French giant was 12 points clear of second place with a game in hand. FIFA Proposes Temporary Rule Change Allowing Up To 5 Substitutions Per Match

FIFA has proposed that teams should be allowed to make up to five substitutions per match, instead of the usual three, as a temporary measure to help cope with potential fixture congestion in the aftermath of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Football has been at a standstill since mid-March but many leagues and federations are still hoping to complete the season but to do so they would have to cram fixtures into a shorter period than usual once play re-starts.
