As a player and manager, former Celtic midfielder, captain and coach Neil Lennon has always worn his heart on his sleeve.

Now working as the bench boss for Edinburgh’s Hibernian, which plays in the Scottish Championship (second division) — for the moment anyway — the Irishman’s, uh, enthusiasm seems to have once again gotten the better of him.

Jose Mourinho accidentally let slip a lack of knowledge concerning pop culture and heists while talking about the possibility of Manchester United signing Neymar. I'll explain.

There are a few positions which you can get away with playing a 17-year-old in a high-level soccer game: winger, for instance, or even fullback. Center back, however, is a different story. Center back relies almost entirely on guile and experience. This is why players tend to move back there as they age and cannot run like a midfielder anymore.

Only three games into the 2017 MLS regular season, Real Salt Lake have decided to fire manager Jeff Cassar. RSL have gone winless with one draw and two losses, and they've only managed to score one goal.

Cassar had been associated with the organization since 2007, serving as an assistant under Jason Kreis, including during Real Salt Lake's 2009 MLS Cup win. The team also reached the 2011 CONCACAF Champions League final.

I don't know what else you were expecting. Xolos manager Miguel Herrera, who is liable to do anything at any moment, could be in hot water because of a video that surfaced showing Herrera appearing to insult and try to fight a fan who was in the stands.

This is not the sort of thing you should do normally, but it's especially the sort of thing you shouldn't do if you got canned from your last job for punching a journalist.
