The adventures of Carlos Vela have taken a potentially serious turn for the worse.

Pachuca Have A Fun, Kind Of Weird Obsession With Pokemon

Pachuca like Pokemon. A lot.

What could have caused this obsession? Our working theory is "Pachuca" would be a great name for a Pokemon (other soccer clubs with great Pokemon names: Cobresal, Gremio, Melgar, Carmelita and Xelaju) and they just ran with it.

Here are Pachuca's tweets from the second half against Dorados de Sinaloa. Again, these are just from the second half.

Memo Ochoa Has His Chance At Malaga

The life of a backup goalkeeper is one of waiting. Waiting for a chance. Most coaches play their number one goalkeepers in the vast majority of matches, restricting backups to lower-level cup matches and a lot of sitting on the bench. For Memo Ochoa, those days are over, at least temporarily.

Diego Reyes Scored In La Liga Sunday

As a central defender, Real Sociedad and Mexico National Team player Diego Reyes doesn't find himself in front of the other team's goal very often. That means when he does get into scoring position, he has to make his opportunities count.

Reyes was afforded one such opportunity Sunday in Real Sociedad's La Liga clash against Levante. He knew exactly what to do with it.

Mexico's New Home Jerseys Are Good And Cool

El Tri has unveiled the 2016 Mexico Home Jersey for the coming year. These will be worn during some very important World Cup qualifiers and the Copa America Centenatio this summer.

The theme this year, apparently, is green.

Cuauhtemoc Blanco Almost Scored In His Last Game For America

Cuauhtemoc Blanco is one of the best players in the history of both Club America and the Mexico national team. Blanco, who retired last year to run for mayor in his adopted hometown of Cuernavaca, Mexico (he won), put on the yellow Club America jersey one last time, appearing before the Club America faithful in Estadio Azteca wearing the number 100.

You could tell how much this meant to Blanco, the fans and his teammates, who relentlessly tried to give Blanco the ball in scoring position and send El Temo off in style. It almost worked. Almost.

Chicharito Says He Still Talks To Sir Alex Ferguson

Bayer Leverkusen and Mexico striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez's departure from his previous club Manchester United was, um, acrimonious.

Current United manager Louis van Gaal clearly didn't want Hernandez in the squad and told him there was very little chance of him playing striker for United. Hernendez was sent to Germany, where he has lit the world on fire (23 goals so far this season in all competitions).

Liga MX And MLS Are Now Equals, Says Robbie Keane

Los Angeles Galaxy forward Robbie Keane has seen enough over his four years of play in North America to declare MLS on par with Liga MX. A bullish Keane declared that Liga MX was stagnating in the face of MLS growth, a bold claim to make prior to Tuesday’s second leg fixture between the Galaxy and Santos Laguna of Liga MX.

Chicharito Scored His 14th Bundesliga Goal

OK, first the bad news: Bayer Leverkusen lost 3-1 to Mainz 05 Sunday. The good news: that one goal happened to be scored by recently-returned-from-injury striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.

Hernandez now has 23 goals in all competitions for Leverkusen, and 14 in the Bundesliga.
