Both Chelsea and Manchester United had a point to prove this evening. Chelsea's been struggling for goals and results lately, and manager Maurizio Sarri has been under pressure from fans and the board. Chelsea has slid from fourth to sixth position in the Premier League, and the Blues needed a result today to steady the ship before the Carabao Cup final on Feb. 24.

On the other hand, Manchester United had been on a great run of form until finally hitting a PSG roadblock in the Champions league.

France is a country with incredible footballing talent and the country won last year’s World Cup partly due to its remarkable squad depth. The depth of France’s talent starts in its domestic leagues. An example of this talent would be Ousmane Dembélé, Kylian Mbappè, Nicolas Pépé and Tanguy Ndombélé.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was his calm and collected self in his most recent press conference, especially since he revealed that Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial will be injured for some important games.

Martial has a groin injury while Lingard has a hamstring issue.

PSG was rocking at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.

After a close first half, Les Parisiens turned it on in the second. Goals from Presnel Kimpembe (who was lucky to still be on the pitch) and Kylian Mbappé both assisted by Angel Di Maria sealed a 2-0 away victory, which will be vital to PSG for the second match of the tie. Without Edinson Cavani and Neymar, PSG strolled through in Manchester.

Yesterday, Manchester United traveled to Leicester in the hopes of bouncing back from a shock 2-2 draw against Burnley at Old Trafford. The good news for United is they left King Power Stadium with three points. The bad news: United is trying to shake off a lack of sharpness.

According to the latest reports, Paul Pogba has become a father for the first time. The rumors began after Pogba and his girlfriend Maria Salaues were spotted at a celebratory dinner in Manchester on Tuesday night, and the news was all but confirmed when the midfielder was absent from United’s training session on Wednesday (as too was Nemanja Matic, whose wife gave birth earlier this week).
