EA Sports dropped the first official FIFA 21 trailer on Thursday and it only could have been created during a pandemic, the likes of which the world has lived through for the past seven months. 

Liga MX Postpones Thursday’s Season Opener Over Positive Covid-19 Tests

Liga MX hit pause on Thursday's season-opening match between Atletico San Luis and FC Juarez, moving the match to Monday after a number of positive coronavirus tests were reported.

According to a report from Record.com.mx, more than 10 FC Juarez players tested positive for the coronavirus. While the number remains in question, the club did admit to multiple positive tests.

Chinese Super League Reports No Cases Of Covid-19 Among 1,870 Tests

All Chinese Super League (CSL) players have tested negative for COVID-19 as the season prepares to kick off on Saturday after a five-month delay from its scheduled start, state news agency Xinhua reported.

A total of 1,870 individuals from the tournament's two hubs — Suzhou near Shanghai and Dalian in the northeast of China — have undergone medical checks, with none of them testing positive for the disease, the report said.

African League Won’t Resume After Leaders Announce 28 Players, Staff Have Covid-19

The return of the Zambian Super League on Saturday has been put on hold after leaders Forest Rangers revealed that 28 players and staff had tested positive for COVID-19.

Rangers said on Saturday morning, hours before the scheduled re-start of the 2019-20 campaign, that they had 28 positive tests out of 58 conducted at the club ahead of their clash with Zanaco in Ndola.

Seventeen of the positive cases are players, this despite a club social media post on Tuesday, which has since been edited, that said all tests had come back negative.

USWNT Stars Aim To Help Female Entrepreneurs To Level Playing Field

LOS ANGELES — Members of the U.S. women's national soccer side are using their experience as female entrepreneurs to lend their support to businesses selling everything from coffee to lingerie, as part of the team's mission to try to level the playing field for women.

A project called Stacy's Rise will award 15 female entrepreneurs $10,000 each, as well as advertising services and executive mentorship from successful women, including U.S. soccer World Cup champions Christen Press and Tobin Heath.

Major League Soccer has unveiled a revised expansion timeline with the inaugural seasons for three of its four new teams delayed by a year due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The new timeline is the result of the impact of the pandemic on the start of business operations and stadium development, the league said.
