Stoppage Time Slugfest Leads To Everton Heartbreak In The 98th Minute

As fans stormed the field, Ross Barkley and Everton thought they’d won the game in the 95th minute. It seemed pretty clear. You score 5 minutes into stoppage time, you win. Bournemouth thought differently. After play resumed, in a matter of seconds, Bournemouth evened the score with a header from Junior Stanislas. And instead of reading "Everton glory," the headlines read "Everton heartbreak" instead.

How did Stanislas' wonder goal come to be? Thanks to the delay of game after fans stormed the field, the match went on for a few more minutes, giving Bournemouth one last chance.

Philipe Coutinho and Roberto Firminho each registered a goal and an assist to one another.

Somtimes, when you try to beat Mother Nature, Mother Nature strikes back in the most embarassing way possible, as Mothers are prone to do, and makes you lave like a wind own goal or something.

*Warning to readers with even a shred of dignity: do not read any further if you are offended by any and/or all references to Steven Gerrard's penis. Thank you.

Chapter six of Steven Gerrard's new book, "My Story," starts like this:

"The magic of the FA Cup was ruined the day my penis was bloodied and then stitched shut on an unromantic night in Bournemouth."
