Eleven years later Rooney is set to make every Everton’s fan dream come true by putting that blue jersey back on for dear friend and mentor Duncan Ferguson, who is set to have his testimonial this summer.

Wayne Rooney has admitted he's considering a move stateside after he's finished at Manchester United.

Rooney, 29, still has a few years left on his United contract, but he's already thinking about what comes next in his career. 

“When that time comes, that’ll be something I’d think about. (I’ll) sit down with my wife and children and decide if it would be right for me,” Rooney told the Seattle Times. 

The status of David De Gea’s future at United is still up in the air, and Louis van Gaal is in a difficult posisiotn because of it. Previously, former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes, who has played second fiddle to De Gea, was expected to take over should his compatriot leave for Spain. However, Valdes and van Gaal have butted heads and the keeper's place on the team seems to be all but gone. 

Multiple reports today have Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke transfering to Liverpool.

The transfer window is far from being closed, and the trades are going strong in the Premier League with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool already spending upwards of £100 million. Yet, title holders Chelsea have not made any big headlines in recent weeks regarding transfers. 

The most exciting moment of Wigan Athletic's preseason 1-1 draw at Altrincham didn't occur during actual gameplay.

Wigan defender James Tavernier was about to take a corner when a young fan ran onto the field and stole Tavernier's thunder.
