Arsenal added to struggling Watford's woes with a 3-2 win at Vicarage Road on Sunday, boosting their hopes of Champions League football next season and keeping their hosts mired in the Premier League relegation zone.

Martin Ødegaard put the Gunners ahead in the fifth minute, latching on to a Bukayo Saka pass after a sweeping move down the right and lashing the ball in low under Watford keeper Ben Foster.

That link up play between Saka and Odegaard.

MLS champion NYCFC announced the signing of Maximo Carrizo to a Homegrown contract on Monday, which just happened to be Carrizo’s 14th birthday. The deal makes him two weeks younger than Real Salt Lake’s Kei to become the youngest MLS player ever. 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored for the third game in a row and helped a much improved Barcelona to earn a comfortable 4-0 home win against Athletic Bilbao in LaLiga on Sunday.

The former Arsenal striker opened the scoring in the 37th minute, netting a rebound from a Gerard Piqué header off the bar.

Manchester United fans closely following this current campaign are well aware of young Anthony Elanga. The rest of Europe is now taking notice after the teenager salvaged a 1-1 draw against Atlético Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday. 

United struggled for long portions of the match at the Wanda Metropolitano; Cristiano Ronaldo often had to drop deep into his own half just to get a touch of the ball. After an early goal from João Félix, it looked like a classic Diego Simeone victory over a British side.

Barcelona's Jekyll and Hyde season continued Sunday with a clinical 4-1 victory over free-falling Valencia at the Mestalla. The visitors took six shots, landed them all on target and put four past Giorgi Mamardashvili, including a brace for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a classy team move that ended on the foot of Frenkie de Jong and a howitzer from young Pedri.

The Austrian club can now tell potential suitors to double that price after the 21-year-old American put on a show against Bayern Munich in the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday. 

After navigating the group stage for the first time in Salzburg's history, the popular opinion was that Bayern was going to give the club a first leg beatdown along the same vein as Manchester City's 5-0 dismantling of Sporting. 

Trinity Rodman's profile continues to expand after the 19-year-old was added to the United States women's national team roster Monday for the upcoming SheBelieves Cup.

Rodman, a Washington Spirit forward who last week signed the most lucrative contract in NWSL history, was named as an injury replacement for defender Abby Dahlkemper. It is her first appearance with the USWNT.
