I don’t know if Spanish newspaper ABC is indeed as pathetically racist as it appears to be, but it’s hard to think otherwise after its recent game report of Barcelona’s Champions League win over Ferencváros on Tuesday. The author’s half-assed non-apology only heightens my suspicions.
If I had a nickel for every time I wrote about fish soccer I would have ten cents, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice. I tip my hat to any readers who understand that reference.

Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo says he is ashamed of the Nigerian government following reports that soldiers opened fire on protesters in the Lekki district of the commercial capital Lagos on Tuesday.
Nigerians have been demonstrating nationwide every day for nearly two weeks against a police unit, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), that rights groups had for years accused of extortion, harassment, torture and murders.
The unit was disbanded on Oct. 11 but the protests have persisted and at least two people were shot on Tuesday.
Mesut Özil has fallen out of favor at Arsenal. There's no debating that. The last year or two have been brutal for the German. A year ago Arsenal shafted him for having the cajones to call out China on its concentration camp BS and now he mostly sits on the bench after falling off Mikel Arteta’s radar.
Arsenal’s iconic mascot is no more. In August the club announced that it was going to layoff 55 employees because of monetary losses due to the pandemic. It has been revealed that Gunnersaurus — Arsenal’s loving sideline dinosaur since 1993 — has also been let go, per The Athletic.
