Sunday’s Le Classique between Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille took a back seat to Spain’s reverberating El Clásico, but the Ligue 1 encounter wasn’t without its fair share of tastiness.
It all began before the match with PSG coach Thomas Tuchel axing both Kylian Mbappe and Adrien Rabiot from the starting eleven after the pair arrived late for a team meeting.
Earlier this year, I wrote about how Liverpool would win the Premier League because of one gorgeous pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold and a brilliant piece of control from Mo Salah in a five-second span.
That was, looking back, complete rubbish.

Wednesday, FC Barcelona posted a video to its official YouTube channel entitled “INSIDE TRAINING | Coutinho prepares for his first El Clásico.” It’s a little strange because perhaps the Brazilian would be better served preparing for Saturday’s match against league leader Sevilla at the Camp Nou or next Wednesday’s heavyweight Champions League tilt with Inter Milan (the clubs are even at the top of Group B with six points), but there’s just no denying that it doesn’t get any bigger or better than El Clásico.
