Kealia Watt Is Having A Baby With J.J. — We’re Winning The World Cup In 24-25 Years

Americans often wonder: What if our best athletes played soccer? Well, that already happens on the women’s side, where we’ve won four World Cup titles thanks in large part to a head start provided by Title IX. On the men’s side? The nation’s best athletes still usually play American football, basketball or baseball.

Hopefully that changes in the coming years, and hopefully it includes Kealia and J.J. Watt’s new baby. The couple announced they’re expecting their first child in October on Thursday.

I’m Not Crying, You Are — Pulisic Gifts Debut Goal To Childhood Friend

Before last night, casual U.S. soccer fans may not have had any idea who Haji Wright is. After last night's impressive 3-0 win against Morocco, that changed. Wright came on as a halftime substitute and immediately impressed, with a series of clever flick-on passes in build-up play and surging runs into the box that showcased his attacking threat. The three will be linchpins of the squad over the next decade, but the 21-year-old Aaronson was playing a new central role for the United States after previously being stationed on the left or right wing of Gregg Berhalter's 4-3-3 formation.

It’s Pride Month; How Is Soccer Celebrating?

It is June 1, a day that across the world rings in a month of Pride celebration, visibility and advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights. These celebrations will surely make their way into the beautiful game. In soccer, pride month traditionally is accompanied by stadium “pride nights,” themed jerseys and fundraisers for equal rights organizations. Above all else, these celebrations are an affirmation that soccer should be inclusive of all. I would argue that such acceptance, at least philosophically, is the very nature of the sport.
