Argentina Return To Women’s World Cup After 12 Years

Just like Switzerland many time zones away, Panama had a steep hill to climb going into its game against Argentina at home on Tuesday night. Panama dropped a 4-0 decision to Argentina in the first game of the two-legged playoff. Much of the drama in that fixture took place in stoppage time as Argentina scored two goals and Panama saw two players sent off.

The Netherlands Is Going to The Women’s World Cup, Finally

It was always going to be an uphill battle for the Swiss heading into Tuesday's second game of the two-leg playoff to decide which UEFA team would lock up the region’s last spot in the 2019 Women’s World Cup. Switzerland found itself in quite a significant hole after a 3-0 away loss on Thursday and needed to be firing on all cylinders (an off day from its opponent wouldn’t hurt either) to keep its hopes alive.

Scotland’s Performance Shows The Diminishing Divide Between USWNT And Europe

The Scotland women’s national team gave the U.S. all it could handle on Tuesday at St Mirren Park, and although there was warm applause for Alex Morgan and an audible intake of breath amongst the 3,790 in attendance during the USWNT’s best passages of play, the Scots will have left their home supporters looking forward to next summer’s World Cup with keen anticipation.

USWNT Finishes 2018 Unbeaten Thanks To Another Perfect Goal From Alex Morgan

The U.S. just finished one helluva 2018. But it’s all about getting ready for 2019.

The USWNT concluded an unbeaten year with a 1-0 victory over Scotland on Tuesday in Paisley, Scotland. And a familiar face was responsible for the goal yet again for the No. 1-ranked team in the world.

Alex Morgan scored for the 18th time in 2018 to propel the U.S. to a 10th straight win and increase the USWNT’s unbeaten streak to 28 (25 of which were wins). The U.S. went 18-0-2 in 2018, with draws against Australia and France the lone blemishes.

First Goal Of U-17 Women's World Cup Was A Casual 40-Yard Chip Golazo

The U-17 Women's World Cup kicked off on Tuesday in Uruguay, featuring 16 of the best youth national teams in the world.

It didn’t take long for the tournament to show just how good these young women are.

While the opening match of the tournament finished 0-0 between Brazil and Japan, the second — between New Zealand and Finland — provided an incredible first goal of the tournament.

Rachel Daly’s Goal From This Weekend Was So Casual Yet So Insane

Women’s soccer is in the midst of an international break right now, which means, as some may be aware, yes, yes the USWNT is playing — but so are many others. One of these others is England, who scheduled a pair of friendlies against European competition as part of its World Cup preparations.

Despite Best Efforts Of Amazing 17-Year-Old Goalie, Panama Falls To Argentina In WWC Qualifier

Last we saw the Panama women's soccer team, Yenith Bailey was doing everything she could to try to get the tiny Central American nation to its first ever women’s World Cup. Panama fell just short, finishing fourth place in the Concacaf Women’s Championship, missing out on the final automatic berth.

USWNT Captures Landmark 500th Win With 1-0 Victory Over Portugal

The United States didn’t look as fluid as it did last month when the USWNT cruised to a Women’s Concacaf Championship, but Jill Ellis’ group got it done. With a 1-0 victory over Portugal on Thursday in Lisbon, the USWNT recorded its 500th all-time victory.

The Staggering Numbers Behind The USWNT’s 500 Victories

The U.S. women’s national team played its first-ever match on Aug. 18, 1985. They lost, 1-0 to Italy. The Americans have been pretty good since, racking up an impressive USWNT record, which hit an unprecedented milestone on Thursday.

Incredible Long-Range Strike Helps LSU Win SEC Title Over Arkansas

LSU became only the second seven-seed to ever win the SEC Women's Soccer Tournament after defeating Arkansas on penalties Sunday, punching their ticket to the NCAA tournament in the process.

After defeating Missouri in double overtime in the first round, LSU shocked 12th-ranked Tennessee on penalties to advance to the semifinals, where they then upset 17th-ranked South Carolina.
