Manchester City defender Jason Denayer, who spent this season on loan at Sunderland, said he was reacting instinctively when he kicked a man in the head during a brawl in Belgium.

The 21-year-old's agent said Denayer "was in the wrong place at the wrong time".

Sulley Muntari’s One-Match Ban After Being Racially Abused Is A Disgrace

Italian football has a crisis on its hands and I’m not even sure they realize how serious it is. For the better part of a decade now, with the exception of Juventus, Italy’s Serie A has been in decline. League officials would like to blame the country’s aging stadiums or the lack of a lucrative television deal - and those are valid points - but the real issue is much more serious.

Italy does not have a football problem. Italy has a race problem.

Sulley Muntari Walks Off Pitch After Being Booked For Reporting Racist Abuse

Sulley Muntari, whose exceptional professional career has seen him play extensively for Udinese, Inter and AC Milan, was booked for reporting racial abuse from the stands and subsequently walked off the pitch in protest in Cagliari.

A Colombian Team Held A Moment Of Silence For A Player Who Was On The Field

You know that scene in various movies in which a character either fakes his or her own death or is otherwise presumed dead but actually alive, and that character watches his or her funeral from behind a tree while wearing sunglasses? Ricardo Oliveira came about as close as you can get to that experience in real life.

Lyon vs. Besiktas Match Delayed As Fans Invade Pitch To Avoid Projectiles

The Europa League quarterfinal between Lyon and Besiktas was delayed for 45 minutes when supporters were forced to invade the pitch after projectiles and firecrackers were thrown from the upper deck and into the stand below.

Championship Referee Suffers Immense Brain Fart While Applying Laws Of The Game

In a game with massive implications at both ends of the table in the English Championship (Newcastle United aiming for promotion and the title, Burton Albion trying to avoid relegation), match referee Keith Stroud simply and utterly messed up. He and his assistants, for whatever reason, didn’t know the rules and for a long period of time chaos reigned at St. James’ Park.

With the scores level at 0-0 in the 30th-minute, Stroud pointed to the spot after Dwight Gayle was tripped in the area.

What Is Going On In This Picture Cristiano Ronaldo Tweeted?

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken reality. Frankly we're surprised it took him this long. He has a history of sending out tweets of himself brooding in various odd places/positions while showing his muscles, but the man has outdone himself.

Senegal vs. Ivory Coast Friendly Abandoned After Fans Go After Players

Soccer fans are the best fans in the world — unless they decide to actually disrupt the game.

An international friendly took place in Paris on Monday, March 27th between African rivals Senegal and the Ivory Coast. The match was cut short after fans invaded the pitch and confronted the players on the field. The group of spectators made their way into the stadium by climbing over security fences and running past guards.

Some Are Protesting, Some Are Posing For Selfies: The Disturbing Reaction To Convicted Murderer Bruno’s Signing

Bruno Fernandes de Souza hadn’t even been out of jail for a month before Brazilian soccer club Boa Esporte signed him as their goalkeeper. Now, most of us are all for giving someone a second chance after a mistake. But this wasn’t a simple infraction. Bruno was convicted of having his girlfriend killed and then feeding her body to dogs — it doesn’t get any less humane than that.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Airport Renaming Ceremony Was A Horror Show

It’s been said that hands and the likeliness of an infant are two of the most difficult undertakings in the artistic world. For hands, it is a question of naturalness — even in reality, especially during photographs, we struggle to know what to do with our cursed hands. For the infant, it is the difficulty in portraying youthful exuberance. Wander through an art gallery and you’ll find many children whose faces look no different from their elders, it is only their size that differentiates them.
