Una cucharita de lujo de la Maga Ovalle guió el triunfo de México Femenil sobre Nigeria

La Selección Mexicana Femenil inició su participación en la Revelations Cup con un triunfo por 1-0 sobre su simil de Nigeria. El duelo fue apretado y se resolvió en los minutos finales gracias a un arranque de genialidad de una que sabe mucho con el balón en los pies, La Maga Lizbeth Ovalle.

Es cierto, los partidos se ganan con goles. Sin embargo, hay ocasiones en casi todo el mérito de una jugada que acaba en la red cae en el pase previo, la asistencia.

Y en el triunfo de México sobre Nigeria nos encotramos con uno de esos casos.

El Tri rompió el cero al minuto 86 gracias a una anotación de Kiana Palacios, quien definió practicamente a boca jarro tras una fenomenal jugada de Ovalle. La jugadora de Tigres desbordó por la banda izquierda, llegó a la línea de fondo y, cuando parecía estar rodeada y sin salida, se inventó un pase de cucharita que Palacios no desaprovechó.

Verdaderamente magistral.

Lástima que no veremos algo similar en el Mundial de Australia y Nueva Zelandia 2023, torneo al que México no clasificó. ¡Snif!

La próxima cita de México en la Revelations Cup – que es un cuadrangular amistoso – será este sábado 18 de febrero, enfrentando a Costa Rica, equipo que viene de empatar 1-1 ante Colombia.
