As the new EPL season rolls in with transfers and sponsorship deals, so too do the new kits for the entire Premier League. Before 1993 and the introduction of the modern day league, it was a rare sight to see any club change the color or design of their shirts. Fast forward to today and we see the introduction of three new kits every season, which creates much hype among fans when purchasing their new club's colors.
Here are the most recent confirmed and leaked kits of the upcoming 2015/16 season:
Southampton Leaked Kits
Southampton will don the red and white stripes created by Adidas with Veho as their kit sponsor. Overall, a very smart and simple shirt similar in fashion to Stoke City and Sunderland. Unlike most clubs, however, Southampton have two kit sponsors with Muvi sponsoring their away and third kits. (Photo: @hancxck | Twitter)
Manchester United Leaked Kits
United have transferred from Nike to Adidas this season for their kits after their contract expired this previous season. Removing the Nike swoosh in the stands crafted out of white seats at Old Trafford could be difficult, but with the amount of money brought in by their partnership with Chevy and Adidas it will be just be another bump in the road. Newcastle United Leaked Kits
Newcastle faced a relegation scare during the last quarter of the 2014-2015 season but, with a secured place, their new look on the pitch may give them that extra boost. In our opinion, one of the best looking home kits. The classic black and white vertical stripes outlined by blue with swooshes at the bottom is a great combination. Though their away kit could be improved, its focus on more patterned design with cross stitching is a nice compliment.
Swansea City Leaked Kits
Swansea feature a slight off-white color as a base with gold highlights on the sleeves, collars, and stripes. The away kit is the complete opposite with a dark navy blue and green that has a checkered border around the sleeves and collar. Not the easiest on the eye, but it surely creates contrast when playing other clubs in white.
Sunderland Leaked Kits
Sunderland are amongst many other clubs with the red and white stripes. The away and third kit, should they choose to create a third kit, are still yet to be leaked. Luckily, the home keeper kit has been revealed alongside the fielding players shirts.
West Bromwich Albion Leaked Kits
Only the away kit has been released for West Brom so far, but the throwback design with WBA embroidered with a calligraphic-style font looks fantastic. The away kit will not have any sponsors on the front to capture the 1885-86 look.
Arsenal Leaked Kits
After signing on with Puma last season with kits so tight they looked painted on, Arsenal’s newest design from Puma will be slightly more formal with a stitched on collar and gold stripes running down the sleeve. The third kit is not as easy on the eye with splashes of colors on the lower third.
Manchester City Leaked Kits
All three of the Citizen’s kits have been leaked and confirmed. The home kit has changed the collar from dark blue to white, but everything else remains the same. The away kit is possibly the most creative and different from all of the others in the league showing similarity to Real Madrid’s past third kit with transparent dragons in the background. Though it is hard to see at first, the transparent design is a blue moon.
Liverpool Leaked Kits
Liverpool seem to have learned from their mistakes by designing simple and traditional kits instead of the asinine designs used in 2013. After switching from Warrior to New Balance to design their shirts, it will be a while before we see something completely out of the norm.
Leicester City Leaked Kits
After surviving the first season back in the Premier League, unlike QPR and Burnley, the Foxes can look on to improving the club financially even more. What better way to do it than sleek new shirts. Blue, white and black kits with a v-collar style put a modern spin on a traditional look.
Tottenham Leaked Kits
The Spurs have released their new 2015-2016 kits early after wearing them in one of their final Premier League games of the season. Harry Kane has become the poster boy for the club in introducing the new look that contains a diagonal stipe from shoulder to waist.
Watford Leaked Kits
Newly promoted club Watford charge into the league with a bright yellow shirt and increasing black stripes from top to bottom. The home kit is the only shirt to be revealed so far for Watford, but it will be expected that they will have a similar style to the black and white stripes.
Everton Leaked Kits
Everton have only altered Tim Howard’s shirt so far from their unveiling, as the all blue shirts stay the same for the fielders. The only thing we can hope is that they don’t replicate their bright pink away colors from multiple seasons ago.
Crystal Palace Leaked Kits
Palace have yet to announce their kit sponsor after revealing the kits at their awards night, but the Barcelona-inspired design will complement their strong presence in the Premier League after being promoted two years ago. The away kit mimics their home kit with white washing away the right and left hand side of the center stripes.
Stoke City Leaked Kits
New Balance have partnered with Stoke City as well as Liverpool to create their kits. In similar fashion, they have remained reserved, not changing the home design too much from traditional styles. The away kit features a green sash on top of a black shirt.
Chelsea Leaked Kits
The Premier League champions have come to an end with Samsung as their kit sponsor and have paired with tire company Yokohama. The new sponsorship logo on the shirt is quite a different change, but in years to come, it might be a little easier on the eye. The three kits are almost identical to the three from 2012-13, but with Yokohama on the front it delivers a whole new look.
