Tragedy hit the world of soccer when Peter Biaksangzuala was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
Biaksangzuala was hospitalized after an attempted somersault celebration went horribly wrong, and left him with severe spinal cord injuries during a Mizoram Premier League game between Bethlehem Vengthlang FC and Chanmari West FC.
He attempted the somersault after scoring the equalizing goal in the contest, and, once injured, he was taken to a hospital where he underwent surgery and further medical care.
In the end, it was not enough, as Biaksangzuala was pronounced dead Sunday morning.
