Both players were injured during Bayern’s DFB Pokal semi final against Borussia Dortmund. Robben’s injury came minutes after he entered the game as a substitute, his first appearance after a month long absence. While Lewandowski received his as he attacked a cross in extra time and connected with Dortmund keeper Mitch Langerak’s fists instead of the ball.
The injuries mean that Bayern may possibly have 5 players unavailable for their Champions League semi-final clash against Barcelona, with Franck Ribery David Alaba, and Holger Badstuber joining Robben and Lewandowki.
Robert Lewandowski sent out a tweet in the aftermath of his injury announcement, stating that he hopes to be available for the Barca match.
Its a few more days till the match at Camp Nou, i really hope i will be able to play!
