It was a quiet weekend for Mexico internationals in Europe. Then Monday rolled around, and Carlos Vela reminded everyone that he is, in fact, a very good striker and Diego Reyes reminded everyone that he is, in fact, a professional soccer player. Carlos Vela and Diego Reyes were instrumental in Real Sociedad's 5-0 humiliation of Espanyol Monday.
Vela got going with this beautiful chip to give Sociedad a 2-0 lead.
GOOOOOAL!@RealSociedadEN with a second that looks just like first. But its @11carlosV this time. 0-2. https://t.co/VKSK9cNCT9

Not to be outdone, Reyes made it 4-0 with this cracking header.
That header by @Diego_Reyes13 deserves another look! #ESPvRSO https://t.co/Lm1CsmcsHN

Unfortunately for Reyes, his day ended in the 70th minute when he was carried off with an injury. That aside, he and Vela comported themselves well after largely disappointing starts to the season. But can they keep it up?
