When Fábio Henrique Tavares, Fabinho as we know him, signed a roughly $57.4 million long-term deal with Liverpool in July, Kylian Mbappé texted him a congratulations on the move. Now, Fabinho wants his former Monaco teammate to join him.
The 24-year-old Brazilian is more than just a friend and former teammate of World Cup superstar Mbappé: He’s a footballer who has incredible chemistry with the 19-year-old. A good example would be Fabiano’s smooth assist to Mbappé during the Monaco vs. Manchester City Champions League Round of 16 first-leg match in 2017. Monaco lost 5-3, but the duo showed both great resolve and great understanding of each other’s playing style.

“Kylian Mbappé sent me a text message congratulating me on going to Liverpool,” Fabinho said. “I have not found the chance to congratulate him yet on what he did winning the World Cup. He is a phenomenon and needs to be congratulated. As soon as I have the chance, I will.”
Fabinho was also direct on his plans to convince the PSG forward to join Liverpool:
“He has already said for the next season he will remain at PSG," Fabinho said. "But I will try slowly to convince him to come to Liverpool.”

Along with the likes of newly signed Alisson Becker, Mohamed Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri, Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson to name a few, the Mbappé and Fabinho duo would elevate Liverpool’s already high tactical power. The Scousers or the Reds if you’re not a Manchester United fan, could dominate the Premier League instead of its previous fourth-place standing in the 2017-2018 season.
On top of that, maybe even win the Champions League this time instead of the same old boring Real Madrid? Sergio Ramos, I’m still watching you.
