In a surprising turn of events, Kyle Walker has reportedly asked to leave Manchester City with immediate effect, seeking a new challenge abroad to conclude his illustrious career. The England right-back, who has been a key figure for City since his arrival in 2017, is now reportedly eager to explore opportunities outside the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's manager, confirmed Walker's request following their FA Cup clash against Salford City, revealing the defender had approached the club about leaving just two days ago. "Kyle asked to explore the options to play abroad and end his career," Guardiola stated. "We cannot understand the success we've had these last years without Kyle."

Walker's departure would mark the end of a highly successful spell at City, during which he has won multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, and Carabao Cups, as well as the 2023 UEFA Champions League. 

While details of potential suitors remain unclear, several top European clubs are expected to express interest in the 33-year-old defender. His desire to end his career abroad has generated significant speculation about possible moves to leagues in Italy, Spain, or even the Middle East.
