The Olympics haven't started yet, so Brazilian striker Neymar has nothing to do except sit around and learn to play golf. Try to learn to play golf, that is.
The Selecao captain received a golfing lesson from 16-year-old Spanish golfer Agueda Cortilla Mas, a Barcelona native. She was very good at showing Neymar how to golf. He was very bad at golfing.
Which is fine, because golf is just about the most boring thing you can do unless you happen to be good at it. You're just playing super-sized billiards while going for a walk and carrying a load of sticks in a bag. If that doesn't sound appealing to you, that's because it isn't appealing.
There are so many better things to do with your time.
"It's fun because you just drink the whole time," is the argument one of my coworkers makes. This is true, because golf is so horrible that you have to drink the whole time for it to be bearable. If you need to drink for something to be fun, that thing isn't actually fun. You just like drinking. And if that's the case, just drink at home without golfing. Maybe hang out with some friends. You'll save a lot of money that way, and you won't be forced to golf.
We bet Neymar feels the same way.
