Soccer is cruel.
Before we show the video, you know which one, we need to get some things straght. First, Brazil did not deserve to win that game. They were lethargic in attack and only slightly less lethargic in defense.
Second, a case can easily be made that Brazil did not even deserve to advance. They scored seven goals against Haiti, but didn't score any goals against Ecuador or Peru. To win in soccer, you have to score goals. I've always said that.
Third, though they did not deserve to win, neither did Brazil deserve to lose. But they did. In the most painful way possible. You are not allowed to use your hands in soccer. Unless you are Raul Ruidiaz.
A look at Raul Ruidiaz's goal that has Brazil on the brink of crashing out of #CopaAmerica. #BRAvPER #MyCopaColors https://t.co/dlcsDhiq7c

This combined with the ref taking four whole minutes after the goal to (incorrectly) decide that it was, in fact, a goal. The whole time he was talking to someone in his earpiece, possibly aliens or beings from another dimension. WHoever it was, they must not have had access to a good replay because that s*** was blatant.
Perhaps this is some kind of cosmic justice for Brazil saving Neymar for the Olympics?
What I'm trying to say here is the outcome of this game was a farce. And it was glorious.
