Apparently, Manchester City and the Gallagher twins rubbed off on Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian striker, who spent from 2011-2015 at City and plays for A.S. Roma now, received his first red card ever when he told an Italian ref that he didn't like the cut of his jib. Well, actually he just told the ref to "f**k off, yeh?" Which apparently was not a suggestion the ref took very well. Or, if he did, then maybe he was trying to high five Dzeko when he accidentally pulled this red card from his pocket.

While we at The18 wouldn't advocate for cursing at refs, it does seem extreme to see straight red in this instance. After all, it's been Wayne Rooney's pastime for the past 15 years to share his enlightened inner haikus with the match officials.
Even managers (albeit, in this case ex-managers) are getting in on the party.
Heck, in other sports, the refs aren't afraid to drop a well-timed f-bomb when displeased.
Regardless, Edin Dzeko was shown off the pitch for his indiscretion. Luckily Roma held onto the lead and ended the match 2-0 against Genoa, so no harm no foul. And Dzeko was a big enough fella to post this to his Instagram account after the match:
Good for him. Although, it's rumored that so close to Christmas, Edin Dzeko is just trying to stay off the naughty list.
