There is five minutes left in the 2014 World Cup final following Mario Gotze’s brilliant goal to put Germany up 1-0 against Argentina and tensions are running high as the Abliceleste try to find a miraculous equalizer to send the match into overtime. And then your television cuts out to a weather update. Yes, it was a nightmare situation for viewers in southern New York and northern Pennsylvania who were watching the game on ABC affiliate WENY. Sure there was a tornado on the way, but why not just keep the banner on the bottom of screen providing all the information viewers need? Poor production by WENY and the viewers let them hear it on twitter. The PG tweets are below along with the video.
You're gonna interrupt the final minutes of the World Cup with a weather update?! @WENYTV

Thanks for making us miss the end of the World Cup @WENYTV! If we didn't hate local news before, we sure do now.
