Zlatan's international career is over. That feels weird, now that we type it. It feels like all of Sweden's international career is over, although we say that as someone who has never been to Sweden, so what the hell do we know.
Sweden did not have a good Euro 2016, and that probably had some effect on Zlatan's decision, even though he announced in the middle of the group stage (which Sweden would not make it out of) that this would be his last ride in the yellow and blue. So, yeah, they didn't have a great tournament. They were everything Zlatan isn't. They were unimaginative in the extreme, and for a player known the world around for scoring goals akin to pulling rabbits out of hats, that must have been frustrating to be a part of.
When Zlatan left PSG, he said he "came in like a king, and left like a legend." With Sweden, it was more like "came in like a petulant but very talented child, and left like a disappointment whose team could only score one goal at Euro 2016 (an own goal that Zlatan created)."
But the middle. God, the middle. The middle was amazing.

We will miss those moments, but at least we get to relive them on Youtube, or Zhowtime, or wherever.
One thing is for certain: Sweden are going to be really bad without Ibrahimovic.
