The Paris club were without the creative flair of Angel Di Maria and Marco Verratti and it showed, as they only managed six shots all day. The PSG defeat sees an unbeaten run of 36 league games come to an end, a run that goes back to March 2015.

OK, first the bad news: Bayer Leverkusen lost 3-1 to Mainz 05 Sunday. The good news: that one goal happened to be scored by recently-returned-from-injury striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.

Memphis Depay is a murderer. In Manchester United's game against FC Midtjylland, The Dutch international repeatedly destroyed poor right back Andre Romer, who was left almost in tears after the display. The Red Devils crushed the Danish club 5-1, and at times it seemed more like Memphis Depay vs Midtjylland as the Dutchman ran rampant.
Brazilian Luciano Pereira, also known as Chiba, scored an absolute wonder goal for Sepahan, an Iranian club, against Al-Nasr of the United Arab Emirates in their opening Asian Champions League group match. It took all of 14 minutes for Pereira to smash this 30 yard golazo and send Sepahan on their way to a comprehensive 2-0 victory.
Every manager wants a defender like Jeffrey Bruma, in terms of willingness to be hit in the face by a speeding object.
Bruma showcased this quality in PSV's 0-0 tie with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Wednesday when he took a rocket of a volley right to the face inside his own 18.
Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez hurt his butt a while back, but he's back in action and, two games into his comeback, he's already setting up goals.
Hernandez set up Karim Bellarabi's first goal (of two), and Bayer Leverkusen went on to beat Portuguese side Sporting CP 3-1 and advance to the Europa League round of 16.
Manchester City took on Dynamo Kiev and won 3 - 1. Sergio Aguero opened the scoring early in the 15th minute. David Silva added the second in the 40th and Yaya Toure scored a third in the 90th minute. For Kiev, Vitaliy Buyalsky scored in the 58th minute. In the Netherlands, PSV Eindhoven and Atletico Madrid played to a 0 - 0 draw.
Leg 2 for these four teams is on March 15th as PSV fly to Madrid and Kiev visit Manchester.

Crazy stuff happens in the Copa MX. This year, Cruz Azul's Christiano "Chaco" Gimenez provided the fun when he got the ball in his own half, decided "screw it, I'm launching from here," launched from there and scored.

Diego Forlan scored a perfect hat trick this weekend for Penarol, reminding everyone of how brilliant of player he was (and still is apparently). He scored a goal with his right foot, his left foot, one brilliant one with his head and added two assists in a 5-1 demolition of Defensor Sporting in the Uruguayan Primera Division.
