Clint Dempsey Remains Irreplaceable For Both Club And Country

On March 9, Clint Dempsey turned 33. George Best, Eric Cantona and Michel Platini all retired before reaching that milestone. Zinedine Zidane, Pele and Jurgen Klinsmann all retired at 34. With that in mind, you could forgive Dempsey for slowing down as he reaches the later stages of his playing career.

But Clint Dempsey would never forgive himself.

Champions League Quarterfinals Goals - April 5, 2016

Champions League Quarterfinals kicked off today with Bayern Munich facing Benfica and Barcelona taking on fellow La Liga foes, Atletico Madrid. Fernando Torres opened the scoring for Atletico in the 25th minute, however he was sent off with his second yellow card 10 minutes later. Madrid was down to 10 men and Luis Suarez took advantage when he scored in the 63rd and 74th minute. Barcelona would hold on to the lead and win 2 - 1. Bayern Munich got off to a hot start as Arturo Vidal scored on a header in the 2nd minute. His goal would prove to be the winner.

Watch Pumas Score One Of The Goals Of The Liga MX Season

It was just another Sunday night in Liga MX. Pumas were on their way to victory against a hapless Monarcas de Morelia team that had already conceded two own goals. All UNAM needed to do was see out the game and collect three points. In the 58th minute, midfielder Javier Cortes Granados decided seeing out the game wasn't enough.

He needed to score the goal of 2016 so far in Liga MX. So that's what he did.

The Serbian Cup Produced The Most Violent Hit You'll Ever See

Miroljub Kostic just doesn’t care. His side are down 2-0 in the 53rd minute of the Serbian Cup, he’s scored less than 10 goals in his 10 year professional career and out rolls this damn ball into his path, nearly 40 yards from goal.

Miroljub can't stand this effrontery. Who does this orb think it is? Should he just tackle the living hell out of it?

A Goalkeeper's Nightmare Gave This Striker His First Hat Trick

When we last checked in on our friend River Plate goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero, he had received a pair of shoes from Lionel Messi during the Club World Cup. It was a beautiful story, but things appear to have taken a turn for the worse for Barovero, who conceded a hat trick to Alan Ruiz in the Argentine Premier Division.

One of the goals will trouble poor Barovero for some time, we're guessing.

Watch Every Goal From Wednesday's Champions League Matches

The last day of Champions League Round of 16 featured four world-renowned teams. Arsenal traveled to FC Barcelona hoping to make up a 2-0 aggregate deficit, while Bayern Munich and Juventus were tied at two.

Champions League Round of 16 Goals - March 15, 2016

Manchester City, Dynamo Kiev, Atletico Madrid and PSV Eindhoven played their second legs in the Champions League Round of 16. With a 3-1 aggregate, Manchester City played comfortably and tied Kiev 0 - 0 at the Ethiad. While down in Madrid, Atletico and PSV played to a 0 - 0 draw. With aggregate being tied 0 - 0, extra time was needed and still not a goal was scored. The PK shootout was nerve racking as each team traded PKs. On the 8th PK for PSV, Luciano Narsingh hit the crossbar giving Atletico the chance to win with a converted PK.

Shinji Okazaki's Brilliant Bicycle Kick Keeps Leicester City On Top

Leicester City’s improbable march towards a Premier League titled continued on Monday following a spirited 1-0 victory over relegation-threatened Newcastle United. Leicester managed only a single shot on target over the course of the match but the outcome of that shot was a goal fit to win any game. In what will perhaps go a long way towards securing a first-ever EPL title for the Foxes, Shinji Okazaki's overhead goal earned Leicester another three points.

El Super Clasico Was The Definition Of Lit

We are on record as saying Liga MX is by and large the most entertaining soccer league in the world, and there is no game in Liga MX that is more entertaining than El Super Clasico between Mexico's two traditional powers, Club America and Chivas de Guadalajara.

Although Chivas isn't playing like a traditional power at the moment, you never know what's going to happen when these two meet. Sunday's contest was no exception.

Watch Tecatito's Game-Winning Golazo For Porto

Portuguese club Porto find themselves right where they need to be in the middle of March, in the thick of the Premeira Liga title race. Things did not look so rosy on Saturday, when Porto were tied with lowly Uniao de Madeira nearing the full-time whistle. Then Jesus "Tecatito" Corona said "lol nope" and won the game for Porto.

Coronal wasn't the only Mexico international to score for Porto Saturday. Hector Herrera put Porto up 2-0 in the 51st minute with a nifty goal.
