Napoli’s Victor Osimhen calls teammate’s agent a ‘dumbf***’ for saying he wants Saudi Arabia transfer

Napoli’s horrendous season has a new dramatic chapter as star forward Victor Osimhen has called out teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent for claiming a rumor about him wanting to leave the club for a Saudi Arabian side.

Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, spoke on Georgian television saying that he thinks Osimhen plans on leaving Napoli at the end of the season.

Osimhen didn’t let that slide and retorted with a fiery Instagram story directed at Jugeli.

31-year-old Sadio Mané marries ‘long-term girlfriend’ who is 18 years old

Al Nassr and Senegal star Sadio Mané, 31, married his long-term girlfriend Aisha Tamba, 18, during a private wedding ceremony in Dakar, Senegal.

The wedding reportedly took place on Sunday.

Burglars steal more than $1 million from Jack Grealish’s home during Man City vs. Everton game

Jack Grealish's home was burgled when Manchester City were playing away at Everton earlier this week but fortunately none of his family members were harmed, his coach Pep Guardiola said on Friday.

British media reported Grealish's home in Cheshire was targeted by burglars on Wednesday when his fiancee and family were at the property.

Reports said jewellery and watches worth $1.27 million were stolen.

French player Jeremy Menez gets two yellow cards in six seconds for sarcasm

French striker Jeremy Menez received two yellow cards in the span of six seconds on Tuesday when the referee wasn’t a fan of his sarcastic clapping.

The incident occurred in stoppage time of the Serie B game between Menez’s Bari FC and Andrea Pirlo’s Sampdoria.

In the 95th minute Menez received a yellow card. Things appeared to be normal. That was until Menez gave the referee a sarcastic round of applause for the booking and in an instant the other yellow card came out.

Turkey managed to go one week before another brutal brawl at soccer game

All professional soccer leagues in Turkey were suspended earlier in December after the president of Ankaragucu punched a referee in the face. Fast forward a little over a week later and another brawl has taken place at a Turkish soccer game.

The incident with the referee getting punched forced the Turkish Football Federation to suspend all leagues for one week on Dec. 11.

The European Court of Justice ruled on Thursday that European soccer's governing body UEFA and its global counterpart FIFA breached EU law when they prevented 12 clubs from forming a European Super League (ESL).

Major League Soccer's (MLS) request to send their reserve teams to participate in the U.S. Open Cup, the country's oldest tournament, was denied by U.S. Soccer on Wednesday.

MLS clubs voted to send teams from MLS Next Pro, a lower division developmental league formed two years ago comprising of their reserve players, as the U.S. Open Cup was not a priority and because they wanted to reduce fixture congestion.

Luton captain Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the pitch.

The score was 1-1 when the 29-year-old Wales international fell to the ground with no other player near him. Players and Luton manager Rob Edwards reacted immediately to get medical attention.

"Our medical staff have confirmed that the Hatters captain suffered cardiac arrest on the pitch but was responsive by the time he was taken off on the stretcher," Luton said in a statement.

Major League Soccer pulls cowardly move and won’t send first teams to compete in U.S. Open Cup

Major League Soccer will send teams from the MLS Next Pro development league to the 2024 U.S. Open Cup instead of the clubs' traditional first teams.

It will mark the first time in the history of MLS that its franchises do not send their top players to the annual domestic knockout tournament. The Athletic reported that the league will "reassess its first teams' involvement" after 2024 to decide whether to continue sending Next Pro teams to participate.

One in five players were the target of online abuse during the 2023 Women's World Cup, FIFA said on Monday as a package of social media protection tools hid nearly 117,000 comments.

The Social Media Protection Service (SMPS), developed by the world governing body with players' union FIFPRO and launched at the 2022 men's World Cup, was offered to teams at the women's finals in Australia and New Zealand, FIFA said in June.
